Who We Are

SCEAD Foundation IndiaSpace for Children in Education, Art and Development — is a Bengaluru-based non-profit founded in 1998 by Siju Thomas Daniel, dedicated to environmental sustainability, social justice, community empowerment, and disaster & crisis management.

Over two decades, we have successfully reached 500,000+ beneficiaries across India. We operate Snehalaya Children's Home for HIV-affected children, run girl child orphanages, adopt government schools, distribute livestock to tribal families, and drive large-scale plantation campaigns verified by CERA Mumbai.

Our Mission

To promote environmental sustainability, education, health, and community development among marginalized communities across India — empowering underprivileged children, tribal villages, women, migrant workers, and elderly citizens.

To build a sustainable, inclusive India where every child has access to education, every community has clean sanitation and green spaces, and every woman and elder lives with dignity and financial independence.

1998

Founded

SCEAD Foundation established in Bengaluru by Siju Thomas Daniel to support underprivileged children's education and development.

2005

Expanding Reach

Began working with tribal communities in rural Karnataka, including the Bandipur region. Launched Snehalaya HIV Home.

2010

Environmental Focus

Large-scale plantation drives across Bengaluru, Anekal, Jigani, Bannerghatta. Lake rejuvenation projects initiated.

2011

School Adoption

Adopted Government Kannada & Tamil School in Cleveland Town, Frazer Town — computer training, library, arts, sports programs.

2014

Tribal Village Adoption

Adopted 3 tribal villages in Bandipur — livelihood, sanitation, education, elderly care, and women's empowerment.

2020

COVID-19 Relief

12,000 kg food and essential supplies distributed. US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo tweeted about SCEAD's relief work.

2022

Government Partnership

Governor of Karnataka flagged off Million Trees Project. Diplomatic tree planting with consulates of Japan, Germany, Italy.

2023

International Recognition

Hosted UN Environment Director Erik Solheim. British High Commission event. Italian, Canadian, Japanese consulate partnerships.

2024-25

Women Empowerment

Saukhyam reusable pad production for tribal women. 3 schools adopted in Tamil Nadu. Genpact "Sowing Seeds of Sustainability" — 7,000 saplings.
