To promote environmental sustainability, education, health, and community development among marginalized communities across India — empowering underprivileged children, tribal villages, women, migrant workers, and elderly citizens.

Who We Are

SCEAD — Space for Children in Education, Art and Development — is a registered NGO founded in 1998. With headquarters in Bengaluru, offices in Mumbai and Chandigarh, and 300+ international volunteers across 15+ countries, we operate HIV children's homes, girl child orphanages, school adoption programs, and large-scale environmental initiatives.

Snehalaya Children's Home

For over 20 years, SCEAD Foundation has operated Snehalaya Children's Home Care Centre — a residential facility dedicated to helping HIV/AIDS-affected children reach their fullest potential through holistic care.

The home provides comprehensive support — physical care, medical treatment, psychological assistance, education, social support, and rehabilitation training — helping children lead healthier, dignified lives. We also run a dedicated Girl Child Orphanage and the Save Girl Child Campaign to protect and empower vulnerable girls.

Our Story

Founded in 1998 by Siju Thomas Daniel, SCEAD Foundation India — Space for Children in Education, Art and Development — is a Bengaluru-based non-profit dedicated to environmental sustainability, social justice, community empowerment, and disaster & crisis management. Over two decades, we have successfully reached over 500,000 beneficiaries across India.

From planting 200,000+ trees, rejuvenating lakes, and building 500+ sanitation units in tribal villages, to adopting 35 government schools, training 300,000+ women in livelihood skills, and supporting 15,000+ tribal beneficiaries through livestock distribution — SCEAD's work is verified by CERA Mumbai for carbon sequestration and backed by partnerships with Genpact, Ascend Telecom, and Anthem Biosciences.
